Q. Why is your product line so limited?

Ageless Nutrition is a “boutique” provider of custom-made professional-grade supplements. We sell only supplements recommended in Konstantin's books and on this site. When he started his work in 1998, he referred readers to health-food stores. Unfortunately, this approach didn't work well because sales personnel at many stores would often steer customers to the brands that paid the highest spiffs (vendor-paid bonuses) — not to the ones he recommended.

In addition, national vendors often change labels, replace components, or discontinue certain products. All those factors created confusion for customers and “support” headaches for Konstantin.

For these reasons, back in 2000, he decided to recommend professional-grade, quality-certified supplements from the same source he has been using for himself and his family. This approach also allowed us an opportunity to provide supplements that aren't available in stores and at a much lower cost.

Q. Do your supplements turn bad on the expiration date?

We manufacture our supplements in the United States from pharmaceutical-grade components in FDA-compliant facilities. According to the FDA, "Drug expiration dates reflect the time period during which the product is known to remain stable, which means it retains its strength, quality, and purity when it is stored according to its labeled storage conditions. [link]"

In plain language, it means that the expiration date printed on a container is the date at which the manufacturer still guarantees the full potency and safety of active ingredients.

But what happens soon after that date?

Well, if you continue to store your supplements in its original sealed packaging in the dry, dark, and cool place, they will retain their potency for at least a year or more, and here is why:

In the study titled "Stability of Active Ingredients in Long-Expired Prescription Medications," scientists measured the potency of "Eight long-expired medications with 15 different active ingredients [that] were discovered in a retail pharmacy in their original, unopened containers. All had expired 28 to 40 years prior to analysis."

The results were: "Twelve of the 14 drug compounds tested (86%) were present in concentrations at least 90% of the labeled amounts, the generally recognized minimum acceptable potency. Three of these compounds were present at greater than 110% of the labeled content. Two compounds (aspirin and amphetamine) were present in amounts of less than 90% of the labeled content. [link]"

We certainly don't condone taking our supplements 40 years from now, but they definitely wouldn't become "trash" in a few days, months, or even years right after their statutory "expiration" date.

Q. Why do you have a minimum order price?

Because the cost of servicing orders below that minimum exceeds our profit margin. By maintaining a minimum order price — presently at $50.00 — we can provide professional-grade supplements at affordable prices.

Q. Why do you not offer a money-back warranty?

Supplements aren't pharmaceutical agents. They don't offer immediate “satisfaction” or “guarantee” immediate and exacting responses. Doctors and pharmacies don't offer any “money-back warranties” for similar reasons — a human body isn't exactly a brand-new mail-order laptop or digital camera that can be easily fixed simply by swapping defective parts.

Unfortunately, some customers may have unreasonable expectations or expect miracles. When these expectations or “miracles” aren't forthcoming as soon as yesterday, they get angry and return those supplements for reasons having nothing to do with their quality or performance.

Resellers, who can ship returns back to the manufacturer or distributor, routinely offer an “unconditional money-back warranty” because it increases sales to impulse buyers at no cost to them. Many charge restocking fees from already inflated retail prices and make an extra profit out of thin air.

Ageless Nutrition isn't a reseller, distributor, or MLM company — our professional-grade supplements are custom-made to order in the United States from pharmaceutical-grade components. They are expensive to procure, we can't send them back to the manufacturer, and we can't resell returns either because there is always a risk of tampering.

Thus, in our case, discarding returns becomes a costly proposition. It would require a substantial price increase across the board to account for these considerable losses — a typical mail-order company with a “no questions asked warranty” may experience a 10% to 20% return rate and 3%to 5% fraudulent chargeback rate.

Without a doubt, this policy may turn away some potential customers. We accept this loss to provide reasonable pricing for the rest of our existing and future clients with realistic expectations.

Q. Can I buy your supplements in stores?

At this time, Ageless Nutrition supplements aren't available in stores. The majority of supplements sold in health-food stores are manufactured offshore or packaged in the United States from consumer-grade raw ingredients imported mostly from China.

There is nothing wrong per se with the majority of offshore-made supplements and raw ingredients. However, we‘ve chosen to market professional-grade supplements made in the United States from pharmaceutical-grade ingredients for the same reason some people prefer Whole Foods to Walmart.

We are able to keep our prices Walmart-like because there‘s no expensive advertising, distributors, stores, or commissioned reps and salespeople standing between you and Ageless Nutrition. With those expenses factored in, the price of comparable-quality professional supplements would be double or triple.

To assure “unbundled” and “unbiased” advice, we fully disclose the content of all supplements featured on this site, so that you can find comparable products in health food stores. Because the content listed on the label doesn‘t reflect the intrinsic quality of raw ingredients and the integrity of the manufacturing process, alternative supplements may not perform comparably to Ageless Nutrition. Q. Can you ship your supplements outside of the United States?

Yes, we can ship to countries indicated in the Shopping Cart's “Country” field via the United States Postal Service (USPS).

We routinely ship to Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Denmark, Ireland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Russia, etc. Please check with your postal office after what amount customs duties may be added.

Spain and Germany do not allow the shipment of supplements outside of the European Union. All other countries, including Europe, please check with your Postal Office before placing an order.

You'll receive a tracking number by e-mail shortly after your order is shipped. We can't be responsible for order delivery within your country or any other custom's fees.

If you plan to visit the United States, you can also request an advanced shipment to your hotel/place of stay.

Q. How old is your company?

Ageless Nutrition has been in business since 2000. It is a privately-held company located in New Jersey, USA.

Q. How can you ship probiotic formulas without damage from high heat to places like Florida or Africa?

Probiotics in capsules aren't as sensitive to temperature variations encountered during storage and shipping as live bacteria because encapsulated formulas are freeze-dried during their manufacture.

Live bacteria are vulnerable to high temperature because heat causes the expansion of intracellular fluids that burst their cells. It is what sterilization and pasteurization are all about.

In the freeze-drying process, intracellular water is removed by suspending bacteria in a suitable protective medium, then freezing them down and, finally, exposing them to a vacuum.

After freeze-drying, bacteria are packaged into capsules, sealed inside the bottles, and will not "awaken" until fully rehydrated by the fluids inside your gut.
